The Yorkshire Forager was born from a love of the Yorkshire countryside and the enjoyment derived from making products from the offerings of Mother Nature.

Wendy Keefer, alias The Forager, grew up in Colorado and Alaska in the USA, before settling
in York in 1987. She feels strong affection for Britain and particularly for Yorkshire. Having been brought up foraging in the mountains for wild berries to make jams and preserves, it was only natural that when she discovered that hawthorn berries were edible (thank you, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall!) this stimulated her creative juices and allowed her to develop the Haw Sauces on offer to you today.
